In 1946, Minneapolis Oxygen Company (MO2) was founded as a small, independent distributor specializing in industrial gases and welding supplies. At the time, we operated out of a single location with just three dedicated employees who were committed to providing high quality products and personalized service to our local customers.
Over the next two decades, our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction fueled our growth. By 1969, we had expanded to two locations and employed a team of twenty professionals. Our services evolved to meet the increasing needs of our customers, including offering cylinder filling and bulk delivery capabilities throughout the Twin Cities area. This expansion marked a significant milestone in our journey, reflecting our ability to adapt and grow while maintaining the close-knit, customer-focused approach that defined our early years.
Today, MO2 has grown to encompass five locations, with a team of fifty skilled and dedicated employees. Our fleet of route delivery trucks and bulk delivery units now serves a broad customer base across the Twin Cities, Western Wisconsin, and the Duluth/Iron Range area. Despite our growth, we have remained true to our roots as a family-owned business, where reliability, honesty, and dedicated customer service continue to be the cornerstones of our operation. We take great pride in the relationships we’ve built with our customers over the years and in our ongoing commitment to meeting their evolving needs with the same level of care and attention that has been our hallmark since the very beginning.
