In 1939, Elmer Smith’s passion for welding led to the creation of Huber Supply, starting with a partnership with Nelson Schmidt and later George Huber. Despite early challenges, including Nelson’s tragic death, George Huber built the foundation of the business, which has since expanded into three locations in Iowa and Minnesota.
Four generations of the Huber family have guided the company, with each generation contributing to its growth and commitment to customer service. From George Huber’s early efforts to the current leadership of Loren, Doug, Rodney, Nicole, and Cal, Huber Supply remains a family-owned business dedicated to innovation in the welding industry.
Today, Huber Supply operates in Mason City and Ames, Iowa, and Owatonna, Minnesota, embodying resilience, family values, and a commitment to quality.
